Doors guitarist Robby Krieger has rolled out a string of dates stretching from the spring through the fall in which he’ll commemorate the 55th anniversary of the band’s second album, Strange Days.

As it stands now, Krieger will launch the trek on May 13th at Tempe, Arizona’s Marquee, with the shows eventually winding down during a homecoming gig on L.A.’s Sunset Strip on September 25th at the legendary Whisky a Go Go. The show will play on the actual 55th anniversary of the famed album.

The Doors’ Strange Days was released on September 25th, 1967 and peaked at Number Three on the Billboard 200. The tracklisting to Strange Days is: “Strange Days” “You’re Lost Little Girl,” “Love Me Two Times,” “Unhappy Girl,” “Horse Latitudes,” “Moonlight Drive,” “People Are Strange,” “My Eyes Have Seen You,” “I Can’t See Your Face In My Mind,” and “When The Music’s Over.”

  • The double-CD featured stereo and original mono mixes — with the original mono mix of the album also being reissued on vinyl.
  • The expanded edition included: “The original stereo mix of the album on CD for the first time in a decade, with sound that’s been remastered for the first time in 30 years. The second disc features the album’s original mono mix, which has been remastered for this set and is making its CD debut. Accompanying the set are liner notes by music journalist David Fricke, as well as a selection of rare and previously unseen photographs.”
