Slash’s new song, “Fill My World” was inspired by Myles Kennedy’s dog, Mozart.

The idea came when Kennedy couldn’t get home to his dog during a storm, but was watching him through a security camera. Although Mozart was secure, he was freaking out with the sounds of the storm.

Kennedy says that the song is based on the perspective of… “When are you coming to save me?

Kennedy said when he recorded it, if you listen close you can hear his voice break at one point because the song meant so much to him. Admitting… “I’m a softie; I’ll admit that. I’m a guy, if I’m in a chick flick, I will cry during the movie.”

“Fill My World” is on Slash’s fifth solo album called 4. It was released earlier this month.

Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators recently kicked off a North American headlining tour. They’ll hit 28 cities, including Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Denver, and Nashville.
