Metallica has announced initial dates of “The Return Of The Summer Vacation 2022” European tour. As it stands now, the band will hit massive outdoor festivals throughout June and July of next year, playing Denmark, Italy, Czech Republic, Belgium, Spain, and Portugal.
Metallica issued a statement announcing next summer’s shows, stating:
We have waited far too long to say these words — we’re getting back out there and are finally announcing our return to Europe in 2022! Needless to say, we cannot wait to see all of you once again as our European ’Tallica Family will finally have a chance to reunite in June and July of next year.

June 22, 2022 – Werchter, Belgium – Rock Werchter
July 12, 2022 – Madrid, Spain – Mad Cool
July 6, 2022 – Lisbon, Portugal – NOS Alive

- On November 12th and 14th, Metallica will headline the opening and closing nights of Welcome To Rockville at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
- The event, which will also feature performances from Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, Deftones, Rob Zombie, Staind, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mudvayne, Cypress Hill, the Offspring, Social Distortion, Lamb Of God, Chevelle, Mastodon, Stone Temple Pilots, and Asking Alexandria, among others.
