Megadeth‘s Dave Mustaine made the day of some young fans in the crowd at a recent stop on the Metal Tour of the Year, which also features Lamb of God, Trivium and In Flames. Mustaine, dressed in a hoodie with the hood up, sat in an empty row behind some concertgoers and seemed to be recognized by a couple of young boys. Mustaine quietly handed them guitar picks and then held up his finger over his mouth, stood up and waved goodbye. The boys were sitting with adults who weren’t paying too much attention and missed their chance to engage with the musician.

The Metal Tour of the Year rolls on to Cedar Rapids, IA tonight (Wednesday, April 27th).
