Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl has posted the online teaser for his upcoming memoir, The Storyteller – Tales Of Life And Music, which drops on October 5th. In the clip, Grohl sheds light on how he chose the stories to spotlight in the book, while revealing that it was only during lockdown that he finally discovered his passion for writing.

According to the official press release, The Storyteller promises, “. . . hilarious childhood mishaps, touching family moments, leaving home to see the world at eighteen, to spectacular stories about Nirvana, Foo Fighters, David BowieJoan JettIggy PopPaul McCartney, playing drums for Tom Petty on Saturday Night Live, performing at the White House, and even swing dancing with AC/DC, with all love, laughs, loss, and embarrassments along the way.”


  • The latest Foo Fighters album, Medicine At Midnight, entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at Number Three this week. The band was able to hit the top spot on the magazine’s Top Album Sales list.
  • Out now is the Foos’ Bee Gees EP covers collection, titled, Hail Satin. The vinyl set features one side billed to the Dee Gees, covering five Bee Gees and Andy Gibb classics, with the flip side containing five live tracks from the band’s latest album, the chart-topping, Medicine At Midnight.
  • Foo Fighters will enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 30th at 8 p.m. ET at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
