Smashing Pumpkins leader Billy Corgan performed a a solo holiday show on (December 18th) after revealing earlier in the day, his father, William Corgan Sr., had passed away. Consequence Of Sound reported Corgan was joined by Warner Chloe Mendel and their two children for his annal Christmas show at Corgan’s Highland Park, Illinois vegan tea shop, Madame Zuzu’s.

During the performance, Morgan premiered a pair of holiday originals unveiled two new holiday originals — “Evergreen” and “The Magi And The Shiny Bright,” as well as performing the standard “Do You Hear What I Hear?” with daughter Philomena.

Corgan posted a message to fans about the death of his father, saying in part, “The show goes on, that’s what my father believed in. My father had his own struggles with music and had a very complicated and oftentimes bitter relationship with the music business. He assumed that I would have the same. . . It all started with him, watching him play in basements and at soundchecks and empty stinking bars.”
