ZZ Top will be on the road with Willie Nelson this year. The Outlaw Music Fest Tour begins in June in St. Louis and will wrap in Philadelphia in September. Pre-sell for the tickets starts today (March 23).
Before Dusty Hill passed away in July of last year, he told the band “The show must go on.” And so, they’ve been performing with Dusty’s hat hanging on his microphone during the concerts.
Elwood Francis, ZZ Tops guitar tech of 20 years has stepped in with his slide guitar, bass, and harmonica. Original members, Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard continue with the band.
In the meantime, ZZ Top is on the road with their Raw Whisky tour and plan to release a new album July 22.
