Yoder: Crispin leads St. Joe’s in TVL Allstars

BOALSBURG – The Wolfpack scored six selections to the Tri-Valley League all-stars in both boys and girls basketball.

In girls basketball, St. Joe’s went a perfect 13-0 in TVL play and was rewarded with four players to all-stars. The first is junior Naomi Crispin who was the unanimous selection in the all-stars to the first team as well as the League MVP.

Crispin who as a junior has already reached over the 1,000 points mark overall this past season. Crispin averaged 20 points a game during TVL games which led the league. Crispin was also first in assists with 76 assists, second in steals with 64, eight blocked shots. She also led the league in free throw percentage with 92% and finally third in three points made with 29.

Teammate and fellow junior Aubrey Yartz was also named to the first team. Yartz averaged 14 points per game in the Tri-Valley League, collected 51 steals, had 70 offensive rebounds along with 67 defensive rebounds for a grand total of 137. Yartz was second in the league in blocks with 43 and had a 68 free throw shooting percentage.

Junior Lauren Himes was the third Wolfpack player to be named to the all-stars and was given the second team nod. Himes averaged 11 points per game for St.Joe’s while having 31 assists and was second in the league in three points made with 31.

Last but certainly not least, junior Jacee Cunningham was given an honorable mention. Cunningham averaged eight points a game for the Wolfpack in league play.

On the flip side of the things, St. Joe’s had a pair of players selected to the all-stars in boys basketball. The first being junior Jayden Stamm who was second in the TVL in scoring averaging 18 points a game. Stamm also had a free throw percentage of 71 and had 27 three pointers.

Next was freshman Chase Luckovich who had 40 assists, 42 steals and dropped 18 shots from beyond the arc.
