Des Moines, IA – Former Penn State Nittany Lion Bo Nickal will be competing in a couple of weeks during UFC Fight Night on ESPN 2 on Saturday May 3.
This will be his first fight of 2025 as Nickal last fought on November 16 of 2024 at UFC 309 where he defeated Paul Craig by unanimous decision.
But now Nickal will have to deal with a former champion in Reinier de Ridder. The Dutch fighter who previously had fought in ONE Championship where Ridder was the third fighter in ONE history to have held two belts in two different divisions. Having won both the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight championships for the promotion.
Nickal currently sits at a record of (7-0) in his UFC career with two wins coming by way of knockout, four wins by submission and a decision victory.
Meanwhile Riddler has competed professionally for a total of 21 fights and has compiled a record of 19-2 with 13 wins via a submission, four of his victories are by knockout and two decisions. Both of his losses were by way of knockout.
According to the tale of the tape, Ridder is 34 years old to Nickal being 29 and will have a slight reach advantage over Nickal as Riddler has a reach of 78 while Bo has a reach of 76.
UFC Fight will be on Saturday May 3on ESPN 2 at the Wells Fargo Center 10 p.m. Eastern time.
