LEWISTOWN – Well wrestling fans! We had ourselves yet another exciting night of professional wrestling at the HWF Colosseum as the HWF presented their Halloween special, the Haunting at the Colosseum Saturday night.
There were plenty of tricks as well as treats throughout the event bringing much delight to the HWF faithful.
The show began with a treat as the HWF fans got to witness the return of longtime favorite Red Dawg as he went one on one with Madness of Trip who was just coming off an incredible match with James Ford at the previous show.
Many fans were laughing as both competitors were more interested in out tricking one another than wrestling, including at the start of the match where Red Dawg somehow got into the referee’s phone and took a selfie with all three people in the ring.
But as time flew by both men wanted to come out on top and it appeared as though it was going to be Trip, but Red Dawg caught Trip in a roll up and scored the one, two, three.
The next match was between Derek Wayne and Oriley Chambers where it quickly turned into a slugfest. But Chambers was able to get the win.
Speaking of returns, after being sidelined with an injury, Ashlan Shaw made her return at the previous show where she made an open challenge to any man or woman. Well at this show, her challenge was answered by Maxx Strong. The problem was Strong was quickly met with a field goal kick to the pills before the match even started. A few minutes went by and Shaw managed to grab Strong and put him in the crossface to collect a submission victory in her return match.
There was another big return to the HWF in the form of Andrew Loveless who was gone for nearly a year made his return. Unfortunately he ran into a very angry John Rodin who was coming off his first loss of his career with Neverfall at the last show and decided to take it out on Loveless, scoring the victory.
Prior to intermission, Robbie Paige came out to address the crowd about his injury and was happy to announce that he was cleared to wrestle again and was eyeing John Washington and the Xtreme Championship.
Washington and his bodyguard Big Philly responded by beating down Paige before Ayden Blaze came out and made the save. The President of Wrestling Mr. Phil Stamper then appeared and turned the brawl into a tag team match. Sadly, the match did not go Paige’s way as he looked to splash Washington in the corner, but Washington pulled the official over him and was temporarily taken out. Washington took advantage and blasted Blaze with some brass knuckles to steal a win.
The other half of Neverfall Zach Rayne who earlier in the show came out and showed respect to the Sons of Mifflin County and then went on to defeat Arawn Conners in singles action.
The newly crowned HWF Tag Team champions the SOMC of Matt “TRK” Silks and RD Mosh welcomed their first challengers in Isaiah Frazier and Sledge Gibson. Many were worried that the SOMC would be coming off an emotional high after ending the undefeated streak of Neverfall. But those doubts were put to rest as the Sons of Mifflin County made a successful first title defense.
Fellow SOMC member Dani Lair aka the Pit Chick looked to get some revenge against the Mother Chelsea. The two had previously met in other promotions with Chelsea coming out on top. Pit Chick showed a lot of improvement against the veteran, but once again, Chelsea was about to use her experience against Dani to pick up the win. Needless to say this rivalry is far from over.
Next up was for the HWF World Heavyweight Championship as challenger Draven Blaze looked to end the reign of “the Titan” James Ford. This match was intense from Jump Street as Blaze was doing everything he could to get inside the head of Ford only to realize how scary it was in there. Because Ford was looking to unleash all kinds of pain on him.
But then Blaze began to work the leg of Ford trying to chop down the tree. After a pair of close calls, Blaze went to the top rope and tried to hit Ford with a hurricanrana but Ford caught him and muscled him up and dropped a massive Titan Fall power bomb to retain the title. However, Ford quickly made his next target known as Ford was looking to get some payback on John Rodin after their encounter from the previous show as well as Rodin tried to attack him early on this show. So stay tuned for more updates on the Ford Rodin situation.
Then in the Main Event, SOMC member Edward James was looking to finally get his revenge on Riot City leader Sicend who many claim was running from James. But now there was no place to run for either men as it was a hardcore match and it got very brutal.
But Sicend always had a plan up his sleeve as Wayne and Big Philly made their presence felt during the match and attacked James. Then one of the most shocking returns happened at the show as The Cremator showed up and laid waste to the trio with devastating chokeslams. But then it soon became a conga line of chokeslams bringing a ton of excitement to the HWF crowd.
With the threat taken away, Sicend try a last ditch effort to end James. But James countered and from the top rope slammed Sicend through the table and got the win.
However, there was plenty of potential deception going on as well during the show as HWF Promoter Trista Silks along with Stamper were pleased to announce that HWF were able to stay in the Lewistown Community Center making the HWF Colosseum their permanent home.
All seemed to be going well, that was until another shocking return to the show as Jason Havok who many thought was fired appeared and informed both Trista and Stamper claiming he was the reason for HWF being able to stay put. This announcement left both Trista and Stamper in complete shock as they were unsure what Havok was doing but could possibly have done to the contracts. However, Trista and Stamper assured the crowd that they will get to the bottom of this.
We will keep you all in the loop as to what exactly Havok is doing back in the HWF. But if anyone knows Havok, it cannot be anything good.
Hope everyone there at the show had a great time and have a safe Halloween!
Until next time!
