BOALSBURG – St. Joe’s Catholic will be gearing up for not one, but two State playoff games as both the boys and girls teams will be looking to make a splash.
The boys will be playing first on Friday as the Wolfpack who are currently sitting at (14-11) will hit the road and will do battle against Serra Catholic Eagles in their first round matchup. St. Joe’s will be led by top scorer Jayden Stamm who is second in scoring among the TVL averaging 18 points  a game within the Tri-Valley League play.
The game will start at 7 p.m. at Serra Catholic High School which is at 200 Hershey Dr, McKeesport, Pa, 15132.
Meanwhile, St.Joe’s girls basketball team who are (24-2) will be playing on Saturday March 8 at 1 p.m. over at Clairton Middle/High School to face Da Bears of Clairton in their first round matchup. The Wolfpack will look to continue their winning ways after defeating Williamsburg in a tough District 6 third place game last week.
The Wolfpack will be leaning on their top scorer Naomi Crispin to continue her hot shooting coming off a 49 point performance against the Blue Pirates.
St. Joe’s will also be looking to bring tough defense into the game as well with the Wolfpack placing first in scoring defense within the Tri-Valley League. Defensively they will continue to rely upon the efforts of Crispin, Aubrey Yartz, Alexia Luckovich and Jacee Cunningham to keep the pressure on the Bears’ offense.
Again, the Wolfpack will play on Saturday March 8 at 1 p.m. at Clairton Middle/High School at 501 Waddell Ave, Clairton, Pa 15025.
Best of luck to both teams
