LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Tuesday, Feb. 18) – After leading the Lock Haven baseball team to a 4-0 record to start the season, Nathan Wise and Matt Lingenfelter take home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Hitter and Pitcher of the Week honors.

Lock Haven swept Virginia state in a four-game non-conference series last weekend to open the season 4-0 for the first time in program history.

The Bald Eagles’ offense headlined the twinbill sweep, as Lock Haven totaled 25 runs over the two games.

Leading the way on offense was sophomore Nathan Wise, Sophomore Nathan Wise, who went 7-for-15 (.467 BA) with two home runs and a double. Wise also drove in six runs and walked once.

The Bald Eagles’ pitching staff was also dominant and received quality starting pitching in every game. Lingenfelter went five shutout innings on his way to earning the victory against Virginia State in the opener. The righty struck out four Trojans while only allowing two base hits.

Next up for The Haven:

The Bald Eagles take on Glenville State in West Virginia in a four-game set, with a doubleheader on Feb. 22 and another on Feb. 23.
