Wednesday Result: Juniata Varsity Lady Indians With Tough Game Against Halifax

The Juniata Lasy Indians couldn’t keep up with Halifax and fell 12-2 on Wednesday.

Halifax got on the board in the bottom of the first inning.

Juniata Varsity Indians made the score 10-2 in the top of the fourth inning when Victoria Moore hit a solo home run to center field, and Ashley Piper tripled, scoring one run.

Kaylnn Brown took the loss for Juniata Varsity Indians. The pitcher went four and one-third innings, surrendering 12 runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out one and walking two.

Savannah Marshall, Moore, and Piper each collected one hit for Juniata. Moore and Piper each drove in one run for the Lady Indians.

Halifax amassed 10 hits in the game. Halifax were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Villa had the most chances in the field with six.

Juniata welcomes Upper Dauphin Area on Friday for their next game.
