The Lady Huskies fall on road to Chambersburg

Tuesday, the Mifflin County softball team fell to Chambersburg 5-1 on Wednesday.

A tag up by Breanne Paetow put Chambersburg on the board in the bottom of the first.

Malaina Maxwell stole home, which helped the Lady Huskies tie the game at one in the top of the second.

A ground out by Kylee Perry gave

Chambersburg the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth.

Kori Leedy earned the win for Chambersburg.

The hurler gave up six hits and one run over six innings, striking out six and walking none.

Macy Pietzch took the loss for Mifflin County. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering five runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking two.
Maxwell, Mya Felmlee, Piper Specht, Ava Baker, Riley Hine, Falynn Reinard, and Pietzch each collected one hit for Mifflin County Varsity Huskies. Specht stole two bases.

Leadoff hitter Paetow led Chambersburg with three hits in four at bats. Karley Skultety, Malia Cramer, and Paetow each drove in one run for Chambersburg. Cramer and Paetow each stole multiple bases for Chambersburg. They stole five bases in the game.

Chambersburg didn’t commit a single error in the field. Perry had the most chances in the field with 10.

Next up for Mifflin County is a game at DuBois on Friday.
