The Juniata Boys Cross Country Team take Wins at St. Joseph’s.  Brubaker Wins again to Remain Undefeated in the TVAA League

In the girls race, sophomore Sylvia Brubaker took another win running the challenging St. Joseph’s course in a time of 20:37.51.  Freshman Carolyn Heidenreich placed 7th with a time of 25:10.26.  Freshman Hannah Zeiders placed 10th with a time of 26:16.79.  The Juniata girls team won against Upper Dauphin 14 – 22 and took loses against St.Joseph’s 22 – 14, Newport 29 – 28. 

“We have 5 girls on our team, but only 3 could run today making it hard to win,” said Juniata coach Jeff Miller. “Sylvia, Carolyn, and Hanna got in some good work today.”

In the boys race, Juniata placed 6 runners in the top 10 to take another TVAA league meet win against all opponents.  Senior Wyatt Stroup remains undefeated in the TVAA league.

“We ran strong as a team tonight.  We weren’t focused on times, but on some goal pace work within the 5k race,” said Miller. They all stayed focused and got the job done.”  Juniata travels to Hershey on Saturday, September 21 to participate in the PIAA Hershey Foundation Invitational held on the state cross country course.
