LEWISTOWN – Taking it to the air.
The talented Terrace Tigers Midgets’ passing game came into Sunday’s game against Kish primed to show its impressive air attack in Centra Keystone Youth Football action.
Quarterback Micheal Williams found teammate Pedro Rodriguez for four TD passes for 131-yards in their 33-0 victory.
The Tigers wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as they marched down the field on a 5-play drive that culminated in Williams sending a dart right to Rodriquez for the 26-yard hook-up, making it a 6-0 advantage.
Kish started its first drive getting close to midfield before Terrace would pick up an interception by Williams, setting up the offense.
However, the Indians fought back with an interception of their own as Bronn Zook stepped in front of an Indians pass and took the interception.
Defensively, the Tigers were aggressive and forced the Indians to punt.
But the Terrace defense would hold and got the ball back on their own 45.
On 1st-and-10 at the Kish 35, the two connected on its second TD pitch and catch to score their second TD from with 1.3 seconds left in the opening stanza.
The Tigers went into the second half with one last touchdown of the first half. The dynamic duo once again connected from 19-yards out, upping the Terrace lead to 21-0 after the 2-point conversion.
As time started to run out in the first half, Terrace added an insurance score.
Again, the two hooked up for what would be for a 40-yard connection.
In the second half, Williams would be the lone touchdown of the half, giving “the Black and Gold” a convincing 33-0 victory.
