Susquenita outlasts Juniata baseball

The Juniata Indians baseball team had trouble keeping up with Susquenita in a 12-2 loss on Monday.

Susquenita were the first to get on the board in the second when a wild pitch scored one run.

Juniata took the lead in the top of the third inning after Gage Harlon walked, and Bryce Harlon singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

The Blackhawks jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning.

Susquenita scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Carson Kepner took the loss for the Indians. The hurler went four innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out six and walking four.

Kepner, Harlon, and Caleb Auker each collected one hit for the Indians.

Harlon led the Indians with one run batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day.

Susquenita accumulated 11 hits in the game.

Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game.  Susquenita stole four bases in the game.
