St. Joseph’s Academy suspended to darkness in 19-19 tie

MILLERSTOWN – The WolfPack traveled to Greenwood on 3/26 to face the Wildcats in a game that was suspended by darkness after the 7th inning ended with the score tied at 19 runs apiece (you read that correctly)!

Leading the offensive charge for Saint Joseph’s were seniors Jordyn Rose and Katie Pase and sophomore Kaige Hutchings. 

Rose went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 7 RBI which included a Grand Slam in the top of the 2nd inning and a double in the 6th. Pase tallied 2 hits in 4 AB with 3 runs scored and 6 RBI. Both of her hits were for extra bases, also . . . a double in the top of the 6th and a triple in the top of the 7th. Hutchings went 3-5 at the plate with 4 runs scored and 2 SB. 

Kelsey Prospero and Emma Roy added hits for the WolfPack while 9 SJCA players scored altogether (Grace Yorks – 3, Sydnee Royer – 2, Emma Roy – 2, Abby Schneider – 2, Mary Capriani – 1). 

The game will resume on 4/19 when Greenwood travels to Boalsburg to face off for round 2. Tri Valley Athletic Association
