Wednesday, the bottom of the lineup helped Mifflin County baseball team capture a 4-1 victory over Chambersburg on Wednesday. Lincoln Ruble, Logan Alexander, and Evan Strohecker combined for five of the team’s 10 hits in the victory. They scored two runs and drove in one.
The Huskies got on the board in the second inning after Mills induced Alexander to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Aidan Attivo earned the win for Mifflin County. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out three and walking three.
Mills took the loss for Chambersburg. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits, striking out six and walking four. Aidan Arnold collected the save. Chase Hartung appeared in relief for Mifflin County.
The Huskies accumulated 10 hits in the game. Mifflin County , the number seven hitter, led Mifflin County Varsity Huskies with three hits in four at bats. Alexander and Easton Lepley each drove in one run for the Huskies. Strohecker collected two hits for the Huskies in three at bats.
Barelay went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Brown led Chambersburg with two hits in three at bats.
Next up for the Huskies is a game at State College on Saturday.
