Chalk up another win for the feisty Juniata girls basketball team as they notched a very defensive victory, winning 34-26.

The Indians outscored Newport 21-7 in the 2nd half while the Defense held Newport to two field goals in the 2nd half.

Leading the way offensively for Juniata was Ava Shearer with a game-high 18 point effort.

Teammate Regan Lowrey added nine en route to the victory.

With the win, the Indians improve their record to 2-1.
