The Mifflin County Girls’ Lacrosse team moves to 8-1 on Senior Night winning 27-1 over the Wildcats of Mifflinburg!

“Special appreciation and thanks for working in-season and out-of-season to bring new opportunities for yourself, your teammates, and all of the young girls in the Mifflin County community!,” said Mifflin County coach Theresa Lamont. “Lacrosse is alive here!”

A freshman, a sophomore, a junior, and eight seniors found the back of the net tonight and a freshman goalie and a senior goalie protected the other net!  Mara Gallo, Ella Kammerer, and Sadie Fike each had five goals.  Monica Druckemiller had three.  Brenna Alexander joined the varsity scoring ranks by adding two goals along with two each from Aija Binder and Hailee Sheetz. Aly Hassinger zinged in her first goal and so did freshman Izzy Snyder!

Passing schemes in the midfield and draw control were the big efforts of the night.  Draw specialist Sadie Fike controlled the draw by snagging six herself, Hailee Sheetz found seven, and Monica Druckemiller waved her magic wand pulling down 12 high balls!

The challenges remain this week as the Huskies travel to Conrad Weiser Wednesday and Red Land on Friday!
