Runs aplenty! Bellefonte bats blister Clearfield

BELLEFONTE  – These bats are on fire!!

The Bellefonte baseball team had its offense primed and ready to go as they matched up against Clearfield.

Offensively, the Red Raiders exploded for 16 hits en route to the 17-0 shelling of the Bison,

Bellefonte had three players that finished with three hits on the night.

Braedyn Kormanic, Trevor Johnson and Alex Ebeling.

Ebeling and Johnson both finished with home runs in the victory. The two also combined for eight RBIs.

The offense finished with seven doubles in the game.

Peyton Vancas had a strong outing tossing a 2-hit shut out.

Taking the loss for the Boson was Isaac Durandetta.

In the first two innings, Bellefonte held a quick 9-0 advantage.

Bellefonte ended the game with 8-runs in the fourth.

In the first, the Red Raiders hopped onto the scoreboard plating three runs.

Kormanic started things off with a single. He was later caught trying to steal.

Derek Fravel walked.

Ebeling picked up the game’s first RBI as he doubled in Fravel.

Johnson ended the inning scoring with a 2-run blast to take a 3-0 advantage going into the second.

In the second, Vancas got the inning going with a single to left.

Kormanic doubles to score Vancas, upping it to a 4-0 advantage.

Kormanic scored once again via a Fravel double.

Ebeling follows in Fravel’s footsteps as he doubled to bring in Fravel.

Then Heckman doubled to score Ebeling, upping it to a 7-0 contest,

Johnson doubled to bring in Heckman.

Johnson would later score on a ball by Clearfield, making it a 9-0 contest.

That’s all Vancas would need as the Bellefonte offense would add an 8-run fourth to end the contest.
