ALTOONA – It was another cold rainy day for a track meet as the Huskies ventured to Altoona for the first annual Stache Classic.
Despite the weather conditions, our kids competed with heart and determination as we came home with three first place finishes on the day.
On the track, Chris Royer got it going winning the 800 in 2:09.63. Shortly after, Kylee Cubbison took the 3200 in 11:03.93. The lone winner in the field was Josiah Sechler. Josiah hit another big throw of 180’5” in the javelin to take the win. See the attached link for the full results. “I’m very excited about the promise our young athletes are showing. When you go to an invitational and you have Freshmen and Sophomores placing, that shows two things, great upperclassman leadership,” said MIfflin County coach Scot Sechler. “Also, a great job by our coaching staff getting these kids ready for big time competition. I’m excited to see how far these young ones progress as the season grinds on”
