Regan Lowrey drove in four runs on four hits to lead Juniata Varsity Indians past East Juniata 20-13 on Wednesday. Lowrey singled in the fourth scoring two, doubled in the seventh scoring two, and doubled in the first scoring one.

Juniata collected 22 hits and East Juniata had 18 in the high-scoring affair.

The Lady Indians got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sophia Smith singled, scoring one run, Savannah Marshall singled, scoring two runs, Mollee Hockenberry tripled, scoring three runs, and Lowery doubled, scoring one run.

The Tigers tied the game in the bottom of the second.

Juniata took the lead in the top of the third inning after Victoria Moore singled to center field, East Juniata committed an error, and Marshall singled, each scoring one run.

The Lady Tigers tied the game in the bottom of the third.

In the top of the fourth, the Lady Indians broke up the tie when Lowrey singled, scoring two runs. Then a single by Smith followed to extend the lead to 13-10.

East Juniata tied the game again this time in the bottom of the fourth.

Juniata  took the lead, 16-13, in the top of the sixth thanks to singles by Moore, Smith, and Ava Lauver.

Addison Rutherford earned the win for Juniata Varsity Indians. The reliever allowed 11 hits and six runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking none.

Kaylnn Brown stepped in the circle first for the Lady Indians. The pitcher allowed seven hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out two and walking five.

Juniata collected 22 hits in the game. Hockenberry, Rutherford, Marshall, Moore, Lauver, and Smith each collected multiple hits for the Indians. Moore and Lowery each stole multiple bases for Juniata. The Lady Indians ran wild on the base paths, tallying 11 stolen bases for the game.

East Juniata tallied 18 hits in the game.

Next up for Juniata  is a game against Newport on Thursday.
