Spring Sports season always has a special place in my heart. Getting to go out there and compete in Track and Field as a team and as a family is something special.

Tonight We Honor Scot Sechler. He was a great man On and off The Track.

He left a legacy that his former and present athletes can carry along forever. What I loved about Scot He was always there to help his friends and athletes out.

As an athlete and as a person he has made me a better person and everyone else around him a better person.

I remember the day of the meet and the day after the meet when we would have a team meeting before practice, he would always praise every athlete in the room for how great they performed at the track meet.

Scot always had a big smile on his face and it was contagious he made everyone else around him smile too. Scot was a hard working man. He would work his construction job in the morning and afternoon and then he would come coach us. Scot always had the time to make me and everyone else a better athlete anything you needed help with he was always there to help you.

Scot made an impact in so many of his athletes life and career here is how Scot Impacted His athletes life and career.

Here are some other athletes that shared their thoughts on Scot.

Tai Ematat: Scot was not only encouraging on the track But also off the track he worked with me to become not only a better athlete but also a better person I couldn’t have asked for better.

Isaac Hallock: Scot Loved his athletes. His goal to make each one the best competitor and person they could be shined through.

He is deeply missed and it’s awesome to see he continues to receive the honor he deserves. I’m  glad to have had the privilege to be able to call Scot My coach.

Mina Phillips: Scot was one of the most supportive coaches I’ve met. Each day he truly had every athlete’s best interest in mind anytime he would pass someone running at practice he would always share encouraging words. He was kind and supportive to every athlete he came across.

Scot Sechler will forever be missed we know every track meet we run he is looking down at us and is very proud of his family athletes and coaches.
