Mifflin County trailed for much of the first half with turnovers playing a large part. The Huskies would go into the half trailing by four points 19-15 Kenepp would have five total points heading into the break.
This game went back in forth as both teams battled until the end. Kendal Swope and Caples would also have 11 total points on the night as a pair.
Mifflin County would slightly pull away. Felmlee would drain three pointers to give Mifflin County the edge in a hard fought 36-33 win over the Trojans.
“The first time we played Hershey in December we lost and now we came back in one in the final,” said Mifflin County coach Brett Leister. “So you can see the growth from that December 19th loss to this win. The girls are getting more confident. We have a bunch of young girls you know with a lot of inexperience with not a lot of time on the floor. And you know over the past few weeks you’re starting to see that growth within these girls and it’s just playing time. It’s just getting the ball in their hands and being out on the floor you know. All season for us Malaina Maxwell has stepped up and has helped out tremendously with the basketball team but all the girls all did something tonight. I mean every single one of those girls we had seven girls playing tonight they all did something positive for us tonight to help us win. “
