Port Royal, PA – Port Royal Speedway is gearing up for a massive 7 day stretch kicking off the 171st Annual Juniata County Fair with two marquee events: the 22nd Annual Butch Renninger Memorial on Saturday, August 30th, and the 74th Annual Foss Jewelers Inc. Labor Day Classic & Lynn Paxton Tribute Race on Monday, September 1.

Saturday, August 30 – 171st Annual Juniata County Fair Opener & Butch Renninger Memorial

Saturday night’s action will be headlined by the 22nd Annual Super Late Model Butch Renninger Memorial, paying $7,333 to win in time trial format. The event, run in honor of the late Butch Renninger, has become a cornerstone of the Juniata County Fair, drawing top late model talent to the area to etch their name in the race’s history books.

The night will also feature a full program of Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprint cars and limited late models. The Zimmerman Truck Repair limited late models are slated to compete in group time trial format for the night’s event. In addition, it’s ARCH Night with the Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown joining in the festivities.

On top of the increased winner’s share for both the Penske Racing Shocks super late models and Zimmerman Truck Repair limited late models, there is additional money to be won throughout the event as follows:

Monday, September 1 – 74th Annual Foss Jewelers Labor Day Classic Lynn Paxton Tribute Race

The tradition-rich Labor Day Classic returns Monday afternoon with an added tribute to one of Pennsylvania’s racing greats, Lynn Paxton. This year’s 410 sprint car event will pay a boosted $7,400 to win and $630 to start, honoring Paxton’s legendary contributions to the sport.

Fans will also be treated to the ever exciting program of the FWD 4-cylinders and an Eastern Museum of Motor Racing Exhibition showcasing the history and heritage of the sport.

To celebrate Fan Appreciation Day, discounted admission prices will make this event even more special for racegoers.
