March 6, 2025 — Port Royal, PA – Port Royal Speedway has been forced to cancel this Saturday’sscheduled Opening Day presented by Packer’s Concessions due to saturated grounds from recent rainfall and an unfavorable weather forecast for the weekend. Despite preparations to kick off the highly anticipated 2025 racing season, precipitation received this week has left the racing surface and surrounding areas unsuitable for competition.
The Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Car and Penske Racing Shocks Super Late Model divisions will now make their season debut on March 22 as part of a rescheduled Opening Day program.
With this cancellation, the next scheduled event at The Speed Palace will now be the Speed Showcase Weekend on March 14-15, featuring the Bob Hilbert’s Sportswear Short Track Super Series. This two-day event will bring some of the best modified competitors to the track for an action-packed weekend.
Port Royal Speedway appreciates the patience and understanding of its fans, drivers, and teams as we navigate the early season weather challenges. We look forward to seeing everyone at the track soon for another great year of racing.
