Port Royal Speedway officials have made the difficult decision to cancel today’s scheduled racing program due to rain received overnight, additional showers this morning, and a forecast calling for continued precipitation throughout the day.
Despite our best efforts and intentions to complete tonight’s event, the grounds have become saturated, and the track surface is no longer in raceable condition. With more rain expected, there is no viable window to complete the necessary preparation to ensure a safe and competitive racing surface for our teams and fans.
We thank all of our fans, drivers, and teams for their continued support and understanding.
Port Royal Speedway will be back in competition on Saturday April 12th for the Lynn Paxton Tribute Race that will feature Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprint cars and Penske Racing Shocks super late models as well as a display from the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing.
