The Philipsburg-Osceola Mounties defeated Bald Eagle Area 3-2 on Thursday thanks to a walk-off double. The game was tied at two with the Mounties batting in the bottom of the seventh when Colby Hahn doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. PO struck out seven, while Wyatt Coakley sat down two.
Bald Eagle Area got on the board in the first inning. Hayden Vaughn grounded out, scoring one run.
Parker White got the win for the Mounties. The ace went one inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking one.
Coakley took the loss for Bald Eagle Area. Coakleyallowed seven hits and three runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out two.
