Yesterday, the Penns Valley Track and Field team had an excellent showing at the Bellwood Invitational.
The Bellwood Invite hosted 18 teams and several Penns Valley athletes earned spots on the podium, by placing in the top 6 in their respective events.
On the girls side, Abby Stitzer won the 800m run with a time of 2 minutes, 24 seconds.
Abby also placed 2nd in the 400m dash with a time of 1 minute, 1 second.
In the 1600m, Anna Stitzer placed 4th with a time of 5 minutes, 36 seconds. Right behind her — placing 5th — was Alexis Durn with a time of 5 minutes, 40 seconds. Rounding out the girls placewinners was the 4 X 400m relays team of Alexis Durn, Cate Goodwin, Hannah Clark and Abby Stitzer — who placed 4th with a time of 4 minutes, 33 seconds.
On the boy’s side, Zach Braucht earned a second place finish in High Jump with a jump of 5 feet, 10 inches.
Zach also went to place second in Long Jump with a jump of 19 feet, 5 inches.
Micah Good placed 3rd in the 400m dash with a time of 53.23 seconds. He also went on to place 5th in the 200m dash with a time of 23.62 seconds.
McClain Reamer was 3rd place in the 3200m run with a time of 10 minutes, 35 seconds.
McClain was also 6th place in the 1600m run with a time of 4 minutes, 56 seconds.
Rounding out the boys placewinners was the 4 X 100m relay team of Logan Crater, Zach Braucht, Tanner Ilgen and Micah Good — who placed 4th — with a time of 44.83 seconds
