The Lady Rams Varsity Softball team defeated Moshannon Valley 15-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Elle Dinges induced a groundout from Ella Berg to finish off the game.

Penns Valley secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the first inning. Taylor Bumgardner, Avery Dinges, Ellie Coursen, Haddley Stover, Madison Bowen, and Scotty Dinges all drove in runs in the frame.

The Lady Rams fired up the offense in the first inning. Bumgardner drew a walk, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Moshannon Valley was a single by Makenzie Daniel in the first inning.

Bumgardner led things off in the circle for Penns Valley. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out five and walking zero.

The Lady Rams had 13 hits in the game. Bumgardner, Dinges, and Dinges each managed multiple hits for Penns Valley.  Bumgardner led the Lady Rams with three hits in three at bats. Penns Valley tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Bumgardner led the way with two.
