Penns Valley picks up win over Juniata

Taylor Bumgardner had all the right stuff on Thursday for Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams, allowing zero runs and besting Juniata by a score of 12-0

Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams fired up the offense in the first inning. Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams scored one run when Ellie Coursen singled.

Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams scored four runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams was led by Kailen Winkelblech and Clara Brooks, all driving in runs in the inning.

One bright spot for Juniata was a single by Frontz in the first inning.

Bumgardner earned the win for Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams. The ace went six innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out six.

Frontz took the loss for Juniata. The pitcher surrendered 12 runs on 14 hits over five innings, striking out three.

Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams launched one home run on the day. Avelyn Van Heyst went for the long ball in the second inning.

Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams racked up 14 hits in the game. Bumgardner, Coursen, Van Heyst, and Gracie Riddle all managed multiple hits for Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams. Bumgardner led Penns Valley Area Varsity Rams with four hits in four at bats.
