Parker Capparelle collected three hits in three at bats, as Bellefonte defeated Bald Eagle Area 5-2 on Tuesday. Capparelle hit a solo home run to left field in the sixth inning, singled in the first inning, and doubled in the third inning.
The Red Raiders jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Zach Lehman doubled, scoring one run, and Capparelle singled, scoring two runs.
Peyton Vancas hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the second for the Bellefonte.
Capparelle hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the sixth for the Red Raiders.
Lehman started on the bump for the Red Raiders. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Brayden Dubbs led things off on the mound for Bald Eagle Area. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and five runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking one. Capparelle threw three innings of scoreless ball for Bellefonte in relief. The reliever allowed two hits, striking out five and walking none.
Bellefonte turned one double play in the game.
Isaac Johnson led the Eagles with two hits in three at bats. Kaleb Irion and Dubbs each drove in one run for Bald Eagle . The Eagles were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Irion made the most plays with seven.
Bellefonte will travel to Bishop McCort for their next game on Wednesday.
