The East Juniata softball team lost in dramatic fashion falling to Newport in the bottom of the seventh, 5-4.

Offensively, the Lady Tigers got hits from Annika Martin (1-for-4, 1B, run),

Marley Wilson: (2-for-3,walk, 2R, two singles), Brenna Watts (1-for-4, two singles, run, RBI), Ryley Dressler (2-for-4, two singles, RBI) and Macy Buskey (1-for-3, single, RBI, HBP).

East Juniata led after one 2-1.

Newport tied things at two and then took the lead in the fifth plating a run.

The Tigers battled back late posting a run in both the sixth and seventh innings, going up at 5-4 going into the Buffaloes last at bats.

Newport rallied to post two runs ending the contest.

Watts took the loss for East Juniata.

With the loss, East Juniata falls to 6-5.
