Moving on!! Bald Eagle Eagles Claim Victory Over St. Marys Area Lady Dutch

The Bald Eagle Area Lady Eagles were triumphant over St. Marys Area Lady Dutch 4-1 on Thursday at Heindl Field.

Bald Eagle Area got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning after Sydney Thompson homered to center field, and Sierra Albright singled to center field, each scoring one run.

St. Marys  scored one run in the top of the fifth on a solo home run to right field by Kelsie Fledderman.

Albright earned the win for the Lady Eagles. The starter surrendered three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out six and walking none. Avery Eckels took the loss for St. Marys Area Lady Dutch. The starting pitcher went six innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking none.

Alexa Baney drove the middle of the lineup, leading Bald Eagle with two runs batted in. The right fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Leadoff hitter Kailey Eckert led Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles with two hits in three at bats. Bald Eagle Area was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Eckert had the most chances in the field with six.

Eckels, Giuliana Muccio, and Fledderman each collected one hit for St. Marys Area. Fledderman led The Lady Dutch with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day.
