MOUNT UNION – It was a walk in the park for the Mount Union baseball team Tuesday afternoon as they took down West Branch 11-0.
Picking up the win on the mound for the Trojans was Bryce Danish. Danish notched a shut out allowing just three hits en route to the victory.
A 6-run second inning launched the Trojans into total control and never looked back.
In the first inning, Mount Union got their started scored one run on a Blaine Hunsinger single.
Mount Union notched six runs in the second inning. Donaldson, Ryan Scott, and Ryan Plank each drove in runs during the inning.
Danish led things off on the hill for Mount Union. He went five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out seven.
Blaine Hunsinger, Danish, Landon Chrisemer, Cainen Atherton, Plank, Scott, Donaldson, and Dayvon Wilson all had one hit to lead the offensive attack.
Mount Union didn’t notch an miscues error on the field en route to the chilly Tuesday victory.
