Mifflin County wrestlers take Husky Duals with perfect day

LEWISTOWN – It was an impressive weekend for the MIfflin County wrestling team as they went a perfect 4-0 to take the Husky Duals this past weekend.

Mifflin County defeated Manheim Central 46-19, Spring Grove 44-27 and Tyrone 48-12 evening its record to 4-4 on the season.

Mifflin County 46, Manheim Central 19

The Huskies dominated their match against Manheim Central topping them 46-19.

At 120, Hunter Johnson opened with a fall over Luke Gibble 0:23.

126: Kamden Everly at 126 won a close 3-2 decision over Barrett Keiffer.

Mifflin County continued to roll through the weight as 132: Blake Aumiller won at 132 with a pin over Cody Hess at 0:19.

Lucas Sheetz made it consecutive pins at 138 with a fall over Jake  Hess at 3:58.

Make it 3-for-3 at 145 when Jacob Cunningham pinned Alexander Hondru at 3:00)

At 152, Parker Kearns dominated his competitor Logan  Forrest in a 13-2 major decision.

189-pounder Avery Aurand dropped Rocco Daugherty by a Fall at 1:55.

At 215, Truitt Davis muscled out a 5-1 decision over Noah Templin.

Rounding out the scoring for MIfflin County at 285, Levi Marks pinned  Tyler Groff at 2:55.

Mifflin County 44, Spring Grove 27

The Huskies found themselves in a tough match when they went head-to-head against Spring Grove.

But the Huskies grinded out the 44-27 victory.

At 120, Hunter Johnson started with a pinfall at 1:35 over Davis Baum.

Kamden Everly made it 2-for-2 with a pin over Andrew  Eyster at 3:09 in the 126-pound weight class.

Another match, another pin. At 132, Blake Aumiller took a pin over Leland Scheivert at 1:32.

The pins kept coming this time at 145. Jacob Cunningham pinned Jarod Baker at 5:41.

At 152, Parker Kearns won by tech fall over Henry Rumbaugh 20-5.

Another fall at 160 for the Huskies as Deakon Schaeffer pinned Connor Grubb at 3:02.

172-pounder Reese Christine was able to outlast Chase Amspacher 1-0.

Mifflin County got its last win in the match at 189. Avery Aurand pinned Abrum Dull at 1:06.

Mifflin County 48, Tyrone 12

Starting the contest at 113, Styers Oden led off with a fall over Miles Weber at 1:21.

Hunter Johnson took care of his 120-pound match, pinning Logan Rumberger at 2:39.

Kamden Everly gave the Huskies another pin at 126 with a fall over Remington Fleck at 4:47.

Blake Aumiller took the 132-pound weight class winning by a forfeit.

At 138, Lucas Sheetz  gave the Huskies yet another pin. Sheetz pinned Cohen Wallace at 5:18.

152-pounder Parker Kearns pinned Reese Wood at 3:13.

Deakon Schaeffer took care of things at 160 with a 9-4 decision over Andrew Weaver.

At 172, Reese Christine  pinned  Jermaine Myers at 5:19.

Rounding out the strong performances at 215, Truitt Davis won a 7-3 decision over Caleb McKinney.
