LEWISTOWN – It was a Golden Experience for the Mifflin County wrestlers Thursday as they celebrated their senior night against Laurel Highlands Conference and legendary wrestling program in Penns Valley.
The match was a close one but it would be the Huskies that came out with the 38-27 victory.
The match started out at 133 pounds. Mifflin County’s Jake Knable found himself in a tight battle with Tripp Watson. In the end, Knable had what it took to survive a 9-8 decision.
Putting out the points at 139, the Huskies Kamden Everly dominated in his match against Zach Rummel winning by a 10-1 Major decision.
Mifflin County’s picked up a tough win at 145. Brian Albert picked up the 3-1 decision over Sawyer Fetterolf.
Mifflin County’s 152 pounder Colby Seiler picked up his team’s first pin as he won by fall over Seth Fetterolf at 0:16.
Penns Valley won its first match at 160. Brayden Lisowski won by a technical fall over Brayan Aurand 19-4 at 2:00.
Reese Christine added another win for the Huskies at 172. Christine was too much for Robert Martin winning by a 13-3 major decision.
Mifflin County’s mainstay 189 – pounder Avery Aurand notched a pinfall over Shane Rimmey at 0:34.
At 215, Landon Hess gave the Rams another win with a pinfall over Alonso Torres 3:04.
Peyton Kearns continued his winning ways at 285 as he picked up a fall over Riley Winkelblech at 2:30.
In the 107 weight class MIfflin County’s Andrew Alexander got his hands raised as he picked up an easy forfeit win .
At 114, Penns Valley’s Max Dinges picked up the easy forfeit win.
121-pounder Conner Myers pinned Mifflin County’s Paxton Shawver at 1:19.
The Rams ended the meet with a win at 127. Penns Valley’s Erik Carlile won by a 15-5 victory over Layten Bowersox for the Major decision.
