BELLEFONTE – Last year, the only blemishes on the MIfflin County Girls schedule came from the Bellefonte Red Raiders.

Thursday night, the Huskies avenged last year, picking up the win on the road 18-3.

“A big night for girls lacrosse tonite as they avenged the only loss from the 2022 campaign,” said MIfflin County head coach Theresa Lamont. “The sticks and stars aligned tonite for this week’s trifecta as passes were swift, on point, and dotted the field! We are back in the groove!”

The Bellefonte Raiders went down 18-3 on their home turf.

Defensive play by Hailee Sheetz, Aija Binder, Aly Hassinger, Zoey Foltz and goalie Mikayla Bodley was solid on the night, keeping the Bellefonte offense at bay for most of the evening. The offensive scoring attack was spread among six Husky players.

Sadie Fike had six, Monica Druckemiller and Mara Gallo posted  four Ella Kammerer had two while Hailee Sheetz and Brenna Dobson each chipped in one.

The Huskies move to 5-1 with an away game next Tuesday
