Mifflin County field hockey team falls in close contest

The Mifflin County Field Hockey were on the road as they played against the Red Land Patriots.

It was a back-and-forth thriller but in the end Mifflin County fell 2-1.

The Huskies came out slow and the Patriots took advantage as they were able to secure the first goal within the first quarter. The Huskies started to pick up the intensity in the second quarter but still managed to let the Patriots get another goal. During the third quarter, the Huskies finally knocked a ball in the cage as Adalyn Amspacker scored on a ball from Jayda Kanagy. During the final quarter of the game, the Huskies dominated the Patriots but were unable to successfully put the ball in the back of the cage. The Huskies defense was impactful on the score as Aubree Dobson (2) and Allison Renninger (1) had some defensive saves to prevent the Patriots from earning more goals.
