In our first ever nominees for the MIfflin County athletes Month for April, it was a former Huskies that took the nod for female athlete for MIfflin County as Bowling Green’s Cross county and track and field distance runner Kylee Cubbison.

Congratulations to former Mifflin County long distance and cross country phenom Kylee Cubbison. Kylee has been nominated for Hometown Sports April Athlete of the Month.

Kylee now a member of the Bowling Green Track and field team had a historic season as her team finished as MAC champions. She crushed a school record in the 5000-meter run that stood since 1986. She finished with a record breaking time of  16:03.81. She also placed second in the mile run at the MAC championships posting a time of 4:44.76. Congratulations Kylee!!!

Congratulations to Mifflin County to Track and field phenom Carter Smith. Smith has been nominated for Hometown Sports April Athlete of the month.

Smith is a three-time state champion and is looking for championship number four as the MIfflin County track and field season is underway. He continues to be a dominant part of the local running team and as a member of the Juniata Striders placed third in the 800 at the New Balance Invitational in Boston posting a sub-1:50 performance!
