The Mifflin County Boys’ Middle Cross Country team took an early morning bus ride to the Gettysburg Invitational  Saturday morning, then had to wait several hours for their race to begin. When the starting gun finally sounded, MC didn’t waste anytime before galloping off to a first place team finish. 19 teams and 251 runners finished the two mile course with MC 99 points, Southern 126 and Dallastown 150 finishing in the top three places.

Ben Farbman of Dallastown was first in 10:27.  For the Huskies Wyatt Kauffman lead the charge placing 6th (10:57), Koy Aurand 15 (11:26.0), Aidan Scavitti 16 (11:26.1), Hoyt Rodenbaugh 30 (11:43) and Cameron Treaster 32 (11:53) finished the scoring for MC. Anthony Palopoli ran (12:49), Justin Cox (14:17), Oaklan Smith 14:36, and Colton Leister (17:08) also finished for the Huskies.
“The boys all ran well!  Wyatt, Koy and Aidan took home medals finishing in the top 20 but it was our 4 and 5 men that made the difference and secured the win for us,” said MIfflin County coach Gregory Loht. “Anthony, Justin, Oaklan and Colton all ran good races.  We have a nice team and they are enjoying the competition.”
