MOUNT UNION – Another Strong road win!

The MIfflin County softball team took to the road Monday to battle a tough Mount Union team.

Husky pitchers Falynn Reinard and Madison Wolfgang teamed up to toss a 1-hit shut out claiming the 4-0 non-league win.

Riley Hine and Arika Henry led the “Purple and Black Attack” with two hits each.

In the third, Hine doubled to get the Huskies bats started. She moved up a base via a wild pitch.

Hine scored on an RBI fielders choice grounder by Henry.

Reinard cruised along on the mound as her and her defense were solid.

In the fifth, Mifflin County added three insurance runs.

Regan Shafranich led off with a simple walk.

Hine singled to left moving  Shafranich home, upping the score to 2-0.

Henry roped an RBI single to center allowing Hine to score another Huskies run.

An error on a Sophie McCurdy grounder allowed Henry to finish out the Huskies scoring.

From there, that would be all the pitching staff would need as the Huskies went onto the victory.
