Mifflin County 15/16’s couldn’t keep up with Williamsport West End and fell 15-0 on Thursday.
Williamsport West End jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Camden March doubled, scoring one run, Noah Kirby singled, scoring two runs, Zack Neill singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Cade Lusk singled, scoring two runs.
Williamsport West End scored six runs on one hit in the top of the second inning. Jaymes Carpenter hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Jaxson March was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Jake Knable induced Mason Hess to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, and LJ Hill singled, scoring three runs.
Williamsport West End added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Mifflin County All Star committed an error, and March walked, each scoring one run.
Wyatt Parkes led things off on the hill for Mifflin County. The right-handed pitcher allowed six hits and seven runs (four earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking two. Nate Crowe opened the game for Williamsport West End 15/16. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking two.
Leadoff hitter Hill led Williamsport West End with two hits in three at bats. Williamsport West End had a strong eye at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Kirby and Neill led the team with two walks each. Williamsport West End were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. March made the most plays with four.
