Mechanicsburg  toughed out a tough Mid-Penn battle with a fiesty MIfflin County Lady Husky soccer team Thursday, 3-2.

Picking up goals for MIfflin County Danielle Warfel and Sarah Henry.

Warfel led off the scoring was Danielle Warfel scored at 7:38.

Mechanicsburg’s Sophia Baldini tied things at one at 17:58

Baldini put her team ahead off a pass from Alayna Williams at 43:41.

Kyra Dillon added an insurance goal at 66:20

Down but not out, the Huskies refused to go away when Sarah Henry scored at 75:14.

Mechanicsburg outshot Mifflin County 14-9.

Mifflin County goalie Bailey McNitt had 11 saves while Mechanicsburg’s Arriel Frey finished 7.

Mifflin County Record falls to 6-7 on the year (2-6 in Mid-Penn Conference)

Next game for MIfflin County is 10/11 @ Palmyra.

In the JV contest, Mechanicsburg won 4-0.
