LEWISTOWN – Down to the wire!

The MIfflin County track and field team went toe-to-toe with Central Dauphin Tuesday night on Senior night.

However both fell but the meet was a very close contest. The boys fell 73-71 while the girls lost 76-72.

On the girls’ side, Adeline Leason made a huge impact coming up with first place finishes in the 1600-meter run, the 800-meter run and the 3200-meter run.

Other seniors that shined and took first place finishes with personal records were Justice Sheaffer, Sophia Plank and Bailey McNitt.

The Boys got a lot of strong performances as well.

Jayden King won long jump, triple jump and high jump.

Travis Renninger led the way in throwing events by winning the shot put and discus.

Myka Simmons continues to dash into first place finishes in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash.
