CHAMBERSBURG – They battled to the end!

The MIfflin County softball team traveled to Chambersburg and found themselves in a defensive battle.

After playing a run in the first, the Huskies gave up two in the second.

From there both defenses took over and neither team was able to score the rest of the contest, spoiling the Lady Huskies visit, falling 2-1.

Offensively, Riley Hine and Arika Henry led the “Purple and Black” posting two hits each.

In the circle, Henry went the distance allowing two runs on six hits for MIfflin County.

In the first, Hine led things off with a single past first base. She would later score on a Dakota Hershberger double, making it 1-0.

But two runs by Chambersburg was more than the Huskies could over come, falling by one.
