“The first thing is obviously it’s that they’re a really good team and you gotta come from the first pitch and play,” said Mifflin County coach Craig Weston. “We didn’t do that today. We were behind in counts. Hitting wise we didn’t square the ball up. There’s some little glimpse of good things and obviously you want to notice those things but you play this caliber of a team you got to come ready to play we didn’t do that today.”
Cumberland Valley has been impressive this season. The Eagles are the third best team in the state. With today’s win they improve to 9-2 in conference play this season. On the other side, Mifflin County will have to rebound quickly as they play non Conference Williamsport on Thursday the Huskies now fall to 3-9 in conference play following today’s defeat.
