MC JH volleyball teams end season in style sweeping Cedar Cliff

Mifflin County Jr High volleyball finished their season on the road against the Colts from Cedar Cliff.

 

The 8th grade team started off the evening edging out the Colts in the first set winning 25-21 and taking the second set easily winning 25-16. Ayden Long and Briah Moore had a solid night on serve receive allowing teammates, Lily Curry and Jayda Thomas, to lead the Huskies offense handing out three and two assists respectively. Jovi Bush and Grayce Napikoski each recorded two kills while Grayce added five digs and Lily chipped in three. Jayda was strong behind the line and led the team with four aces.

 

The 7th grade team may have started off slow but came roaring back from behind to take a commanding 25-15 win in the first set and a 25-19 win in the second. The Huskies saw solid serve receive out of Chelsea Anewalt and Braylee Breon. Jovie Kauffman handed out three assists while also recording two aces. Mackenzie Resto added two kills and a block as well as two aces. Olivia Bedlyon led the team with four aces.

 

The 8th grade team ended the season with an 8-3 record and the 7th grade team ended at 6-5.
